Contribution of Resource Integration Centre at COVID situation (2020-2021) by different project and programmes
The COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus was confirmed to have spread to Bangladesh in March 2020. Since then, the pandemic has spread day by day over the whole nation and the number of affected people has been increasing.
In order to protect the population, the government declared "lockdown" throughout the nation several times.
As a part of development work, Resource Integration Centre RIC is continuing special activities and contribute by different project and programmes.
Awareness raising activity
Orientation of the service providers of both DGHS and DGFP (191 participants) on national guideline for providing essential MNCH (Mother and Newborn Care Health Service) service in context of COVID-19 at Noakhali and Feni district, awareness raising rally in Dhaka, Health guideline announcement in the mosques, temples and local area through miking, Leaflets distribution (10000), Banners & festoons hosting (200 nos), Demonstration hand washing session (470 sessions with 3760 participants), Awareness & hygiene message session (607 session with 4856 persons), Awareness through household session on nutrition food, COVID, hygiene and sanitation practice with 720 participants.
Disseminate health safty and hygene issue for maternal and child care (1010 person)
Scale up the existing Awareness session on Food Nutrition, hygiene and Sanitation practices (Distance session for Couple & eligible HH member with PPI: Personal Protection Inputs/HHs like ; Soap 6, Mask 17, Hand Sanitizer 3 for 3 months for 1440 People.
Capacity bulding of Staffs (24) on Covid 19 respons (training & equipment), COVID 19 Awarness Meeting ( 7065 participants), Advice through cell phone by FOs in COVID situation (48527), Household members, received advice (do's & don't) on COVID-19 ( 59344)
Contact with pharmacy holder and village doctor for referring TB presumptive and Case in Dots corner and provide support (guideline Covid-19) for maintaining difference between Covid-19 & TB Presumptive
Awarness development activities and leaflet distribution among 15000 people

UH &FWC (24/7 & Non 24/7) GoB service provider (FWV+ Paramedic + Midwife) Mobile bill pay for continuing Maternal & Neonatal care health services through mobile counseling context of COVID-19, UH &FWC (24/7 & Non 24/7) GoB service provider (FWV+ Paramedic + Midwife+ FWA) Mobile bill pay for increased use of access to Post-Partum Family Planning (PPFP) and to improved coverage & timing of PNC among First-Time Parents (FTPs) between 15-24 years of age and follow up through mobile counseling during COVID-19 period at Noakhali and Feni. Construction for hygiene maintain
During this COVID-19 pandemic period, SCAN project constructed community latrine with chambers, Constructed Community Hand washing Station (17 nos), communal hand washing stations have been installed in 10 slums for the approximately 10,500 beneficiaries (8 WARDs in Dhaka City Corporation) by Slum-based Citizen Action Network (SCAN) Project
Support to build own tippy tap for hand washing in Teknaf by Gender Inclusive Pathways out of poverty for vulnerable household in Cox’s Bazar Project.

Organized Staff meeting by Zoom apps
From the very beginning of this pandemic situation our higher management including our honorable Executive Director always been connected with all staff over physical and virtual meeting. Regular instruction and specific guideline makes the working environment safe, healthy and comfortable for all staff.
Provide Hygiene and Safety Materials
For safety, central and all field offices ensure hygiene procedure including social distance, face mask, PPE, hand washing and sanitizing.
5% Incentive Allowance for all Staff
Our organization provide 5% incentive allowance for all staff.
Revolving Refinancing loan for Farmer, Small and Marginal Entrepreneur and lower income group
Due to Novel corona virus, Bangladesh Bank introduced Revolving Refinancing loan Scheme for Farmer, Small and Marginal Entrepreneur and lower income group. With the cooperation of this scheme we provide tk. 15 crore to the target people for their IGA to continue the economic development of our country.
Medical support for affected staff and their family members
Resource Integration Centre (RIC) assigned a full time Doctor for staff. RIC also supported all COVID affected staff and their family members. RIC contribute all treatment cost of them.
Financial Support for death due to COVID 19
Each staff of RIC is a family member to us. We developed a new policy due to COVID Pandemic. If any staff expire due to COVID his/her family will got tk. 10,00000/- (Ten Lac) beside regular facilities.
We have lost our colleague Abdur Rashid, Deputy General Manager due to COVID. It is an enormous loss of his family and organization also. His family already received this amount.
Stress Management Training for field level frontiers staff by zoom apps:
Microfinance is a challenging programme. Due to pandemic situation beside physical health, RIC is also careful about these programme frontier’s mental health also. Our training team implemented online training session on Stress Management for all Credit Officers.

রিসোর্স ইন্টিগ্রেশন সেন্টার (রিক) নওগাঁ অঞ্চলের নিজ কর্ম এলাকায় করোনাভাইরাস দুর্যোগ পরিস্থিতিতে সদস্যের উৎপাদিত ফসল (যেমন: ধান) উপজেলা কৃষি সম্প্রসারণ অফিসে যোগাযোগের মাধ্যমে ৮০ জন কৃষকের সরকার নির্ধারিত মূল্যে ১০৪০ টাকা দরে বিক্রয়ের ব্যবস্থা করে দেয়। এছাড়াও কাল বৈশাখী ঝড়ে পড়ে যাওয়া কাঁচা আম ও বিভিন্ন ধরনের সবজি, মিষ্টি কুমড়া, লাউ, করলা, পটল, কাঁচা মরিচ ইত্যাদি ঢাকার পাইকারদের সাথে যোগাযোগ করে ন্যায্য মূল্যে বিক্রয় করে দেওয়ার ব্যবস্থা করে। এছাড়া “রিক” মুন্সীগঞ্জ অঞ্চলের শ্রীনগর এরিয়ার হলদিয়া শাখার দক্ষিন হলদিয়া গ্রামের শহিদুল ইসলাম এবং কারপাশা গ্রামের রাশিদা বেগম এই দুই জনের অবিক্রিত গাভীর দুধ মার্কেট লিংকেজ করে বিক্রি করে দেওয়া হয়। পাশাপাশি “রিক” পিরোজপুর অঞ্চলের শিকদার মল্লিক ইউনিয়ন এলাকার চালিতাখালি গ্রাম এর চাষি মোঃহায়দার শেখ, সলেমান শেখ এর উৎপাদিত তরমুজ ও বাংঙ্গী, বিক্রয় করতে না পারায় কিছু ফসল বাগেরহাটের সাইনবোর্ড এলাকার পাইকারি ব্যবসায়ি মোঃ সেলিম ও মোঃমিরাজ এর নিকট বিক্রির ব্যবস্থা করে দেয় রির্সোস ইন্টিগ্রশন সেন্টার (রিক) নাজিরপুর শাখার কর্মকর্তাগন।
বাংলাদেশ সরকারের মৎস্য ও প্রানী সম্পদ মন্ত্রনালয়ের বিজ্ঞপ্তি
সারাবিশ্বের ন্যায় বাংলাদেশেও করোনা (কোভিড-১৯) প্রাদুর্ভাবের কারনে অন্যান্য চাষী ও খামারিদের মত মুরগি ও ডিম উৎপাদনকারী খামারিরাও বাজারজাতকরনের সমস্যার কারনে ব্যাপক ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন হচ্ছে। রিসোর্স ইন্টিগ্রেশন সেন্টার(রিক) কৃষক ও খামারিদের এই ক্রান্তিকালে নিয়মিত তাদের সাথে যোগাযোগ স্থাপন এবং তাদের ক্ষতি হ্রাস করার লক্ষ্যে কৃষি পন্য বাজারজাতকরন এবং সংরক্ষণের কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। বাংলাদেশ সরকারের মৎস্য ও প্রানীসম্পদ মন্ত্রনালয় ২২/০৪/২০২০ইং তারিখে ন্যায্য মুল্যে দুধ, ডিম ও পোল্ট্রি ক্রয়ের বিজ্ঞপ্তি প্রকাশ করে। উক্ত বিজ্ঞপ্তি অনুসারে রিসোর্স ইন্টিগ্রেশন সেন্টার(রিক) মাঠ পর্যায়ে কাজ করে খামারিদের সাথে উপজেলা দুধ, ডিম ও পোল্ট্রি ক্রয় কমির্টি সাথে লিংকেজ করে দেয়।
কক্সবাজার এরিয়ার দুইজন খামারির নাম: ১। মো: আয়াস, গ্রাম: নতুনপাড়া, পোস্ট ভারোয়া খালী , উপজেলা কক্সবাজার সদর ২। মো: নুর আয়সা, গ্রাম: পানিরছরড়া, পোস্ট: রশিদনগর, উপজেলা রামু এর থেকে ডিম ও পোল্ট্রি ক্রয় করার জন্য নির্বাচন করেন। তারা স্থানীয় বাজার মূল্য হতে বেশি মূল্যে ক্রয় করতে চাইলেও তাদের কমিটির কাছে পৌছে দেওয়ার শর্তে খামারিরা বিক্রয় করতে অনিচ্ছা প্রকাশ করে। পরে স্থানীয় পাইকারদের সাথে লিংকেজ স্থাপন করে দেওয়া হয়। স্থানীয় পাইকাররা সরাসরী খামার হতে ক্রয় করার শর্তে রাজী হয়।
Financial support In the epidemic situation of COVID-19 in Ukhiya
In the epidemic situation of COVID-19, Resource Integration Centre (RIC) has been implementing a very short -term food and cash transfer programme titled “Special Support to Host Community (SSHC) for COVID-19 Response” in Ukhiya under Cox’s Bazar district with the financial support of World Food Programme (WFP) from April 2020. The World Food Programme, Bangladesh in cooperation with Resource Integration Centre (RIC)has displayed extraordinary generosity towards host community during this predicament situation thinking about globally lock down due to COVID-19. However, the speed and scale of the affected EFSN beneficiaries of WFP exceeds the capacity of the host country and humanitarian community step up its support to respond to the immense needs on the ground. Today (12 May, 2020) RIC has distributed cash grant (BDT 4500.00 per beneficiary) among the the 451 beneficiaries in Ukhiya under Cox’s Bazar district. Cumulative total: 869 beneficiaries.
RIC is implementing the emergency programme for COVID-19
RIC is implementing the emergency programme named "Special Support for Host Community for COVID-19 response in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar" with the financial support of WFP. Day-1: Cash grant distribution among the EFSN beneficiaries. Today 418 beneficiaries received cash grant (each beneficiary receive BDT. 4500.00). Total 10950 beneficiaries will receive the cash grant.
`রিক` ব্যবস্থাপনা কর্তৃপক্ষ করোনা ভাইরাস সংক্রমণে দরিদ্র ও অতিদরিদ্র সদস্যদের আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান করছে
'রিক' ব্যবস্থাপনা কর্তৃপক্ষ করোনা ভাইরাস সংক্রমণে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত দরিদ্র ও অতিদরিদ্র সদস্যদের আর্থিক সহায়তা করার উদ্দেশ্যে একটি সহায়তা তহবিল গঠন করেছে। উক্ত তহবিলে সংস্থার সকল স্টাফের ০৩ দিনের মূল বেতন এবং বৈশাখী ভাতা এর অর্ধেক পরিমাণ অর্থ ও অবশিষ্ট প্রয়োজনীয় অর্থ সংস্থা নিজস্ব তহবিল থেকে গ্রহণ করে 'রিক' কর্ম এলাকার ১১৫টি শাখাকে চিহ্নিত করে প্রত্যেক শাখায় ৫০ জন করে সদস্যকে উক্ত আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান কার্যক্রম শুরু করেছে। যা আগামী ২৭/০৪/২০২০ইং তারিখ পর্যন্ত চলমান থাকবে। এর ধারাবাহিকতায় ৫৪৩১ জন দরিদ্র সদস্যের মাঝে ৫৪,৩১,০০০টাকা আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান করা হয়।
Special Support for Host Community (SSHC) for COVID-19 Response
Resource Integration Centre (RIC) is implementing emergency activity in Ukhiya under Cox’s Bazar district with the financial support of World Food Programme (WFP). The duration of the emergency response is three months (April-June, 2020). In this response, RIC will distribute High Energy Biscuit (HEB), Cash grant and rice among the host community. Now RIC is distributing HEB among the 10953 EFSN beneficiaries from 13 -22 April, 2020.
